Flora of the Bowl Research Natural Area

Rewild Ecological is leading a comprehensive floristic inventory of The Bowl Research Natural Area, one of New Hampshire's finest old-growth forests. Located beneath Mount Whiteface and Mount Passaconaway, The Bowl protects approximately 1,500 acres of mature northern hardwood forest, wetlands, and streams. Building on a limited botanical survey completed in 1995, this project will document the area's vascular plant diversity using modern survey methods and establish an updated scientific baseline for future research and conservation. Conducted in partnership with the Wonalancet Out Door Club and the U.S. Forest Service, the inventory will support the long-term stewardship of this exceptional natural landscape.
